Ryan Hayes is the Sous Chef at the Empire Diner. Except for the 718 on his fingers, which is the area code for Brooklyn where he lives, Ryan had no preconceived plan for his tats. Usually he has the tattoo artist try one of their new designs at a discounted price because tattoos tend to be very expensive. Ryan’s been lucky, and without knowing how they’d come out he’s got some really nice stuff.
Battman
Alan Batt, better known in the culinary world as simply Battman, began his career as a photographer in 1981 shooting photos of city scenes and landmark sites of New York City. He began taking food photography in 2001, and has since become one of New York City's most recognizable culinary personalities. Battman is often seen riding his bicycle up and down the streets of Manhattan as he travels to and from photo shoots and meetings with the chefs.
