75 Employees of the 21 Club
The 21 Club called me to take this photo after Zagat Surveys upgraded their rating. The restaurant is now one of the the top 10 in the city (a wonderful achievement). The hardest part of taking this kind of photo is getting everyone looking forward with their eyes open. This was pretty easy because everyone was watching (almost everyone) me worrying whether I’d get hit by a car. The ladder I was on was in the middle of the street.
Battman
Alan Batt, better known in the culinary world as simply Battman, began his career as a photographer in 1981 shooting photos of city scenes and landmark sites of New York City. He began taking food photography in 2001, and has since become one of New York City's most recognizable culinary personalities. Battman is often seen riding his bicycle up and down the streets of Manhattan as he travels to and from photo shoots and meetings with the chefs.
