20th Annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square
December 2 @ 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Get into the holiday spirit at the 20th annual Winter’s Eve at Lincoln Square – New York’s largest holiday festival! Winter’s Eve kicks off at 5:30 with a neighborhood tree lighting ceremony in Dante Park at Broadway and 63rd Street. And then, starting at 6pm, the festivities continue along Broadway from Time Warner Center to 70th Street with free entertainment, food tastings, street performers, ice sculpting, activities for the kids, in-store activities, shopping, and lots more going on around the neighborhood.
However, the draw that brings folks back to this event year after year is the food! More than 30 of Lincoln Square’s finest eateries will offer outdoor tastings for a nominal cost ($1-$4) under canopies in front of Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, along Broadway between 62nd and 64th Streets and at Richard Tucker Park between 65th and 66th Streets from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.
Participating restaurants, cafes and bakeries include: asíate, Atlantic Grill, Bar Boulud, BARMASA, Bluebird, Bonmi, Bouchon Bakery, BouludSud, Breads Bakery, Cafe Fiorello, Dizzy’s Club, Empire Rooftop, Francesco, Gourmet Garage, indie food and wine, Le Pain Quotidien, Lincoln Center Kitchen, Magnolia Bakery, Momofuku, P.J. Clarke’s, Porter House New York, Rosa Mexicano, Sapphire Indian Cuisine, Starbucks, Tavern of the Green, The Smith, Whole Foods Market, and others.
New York Cares is the official charitable partner of this year’s event. New York Cares is a nonprofit organization focused on mobilizing local New Yorkers for volunteer projects, and they run the City’s largest winter coat drive, gathering over 1.8 million winter coats over the years.
On Winter’s Eve, attendees are encouraged to donate a new or gently used coat at Dante Park (Broadway & 63rd Street) to support the New York Cares Coat Drive.
