The Joy of Sake

The Joy of Sake, the largest sake tasting event outside Japan, returns to New York City for its 15th annual celebration on Friday, June 21st at the Metropolitan Pavilion. This year’s event will be the biggest sake celebration in the city’s history, featuring a record 513 competition-level sakes and 18 top restaurants serving sake-inspired appetizers.
Participants restaurant include 15 East, BondSt, Hibino, Insa, Little Tong Noodle Shop, The Lobster Club, Momofuku Ssam Bar, Morimoto, Nikutei Futago, Sakagura, SakaMai, Samurai Mama, Shuko, Sushi Seki, TabeTomo, The Woo, Yopporai, and Zuma. Over 200 sakes not available in the U.S are featured, including numerous gold-award winners from the 2019 U.S. National Sake Appraisal, a rigorous blind tasting held over three days in Honolulu.
Tickets are $110 per person and includes unlimited samplings of sake and a dish from every restaurant.
