April 9 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Now in its 11th year, STREETS Eats, the annual annual benefit for STREETS International returns to the Institute of Culinary Education on Tuesday, April 9th.

Some of NYC’s top chefs will showcase their own unique take on Asian inspired cuisine and to compliment the food, top mixologists will be mixing up specialty cocktails along with wine and beer. There will also be a Luxury Lifestyle and Travel Auction to benefit the organization.

The evening will kick off with a cocktail reception at 6:30, followed by a four-course sit down dinner at 7:30 prepared by this year’s featured chefs including:

• PJ Calpa of Scampi
• Colleen Grapes formerly of Red Cat & Sea Grill
• Dale Talde of Talde
• Barry Tonkinson of ICE Special Events
• Simone Tong of Little Tong Noodle Shop
• Tom Reid, mixologist at The Penose

The annual STREETS Eats event raises funds and support necessary for the development of the STREETS program providing the opportunity for street kids, orphans, and disadvantaged youth to transition from poverty and life on the streets to successful careers in hospitality. STREETS has helped 300 youth transition from the despair of poverty to newfound careers in the hospitality industry through a comprehensive 18-month residential training program that combines classroom learning with hands-on apprenticing at the STREETS Restaurant Café and Oodles of Noodle Market Tour in Hoi An, Vietnam. 100% of graduates within 60 days of graduation start careers in international hotels, resorts and restaurants.
