Slow Grains – Slow Food NYC Event

As per Slow Food NYC, organizer of Slow Grains:

Come to celebrate the flavors of grains and whole-grain flours across our region. Taste some breads and whole grains made outside of the commodity production system, which determines everything from seed to loaf and ground to glass.

Amy Halloran, author of The New Bread Basket will lead you through a tour of regional grains with bread from She Wolf Bakery and others, and discuss all the work required to get something new on our forks and under our butter.

The Greenmarket Regional Grains Project fosters a thriving regional grain economy within the local food system. Learn here https://www.grownyc.org/grains how Greenmarket works with its network of growers and customers to help build supply, demand and the Northeast grain shed.

Tickets to Slow Grain are $15 per person; $10 for Slow Food members.
