Slice Out Hunger’s Dollar Pizza Party
October 10 @ 7:00 pm
Celebrating 10 year’s, Slice Out Hunger’s Dollar Pizza Party brings the city’s top pizzerias together under one roof to raise money for New Yorkers in need. This annual charity event sells $1 pizza slices from some of the city’s best including DiFara, Emily, Grimaldi’s, Joe’s Pizza, John’s of Bleecker, Lombardi’s, Two Boats, and more – most of which do not offer pizza by the slice. More than 50 pizzerias are expected to donate over 1,200 pizzas for this year’s Dollar Pizza Party at The Shrine Church of Saint Anthony of Padua on Sullivan Street. Last year’s event raised over $50,000.
Entirely by volunteers, 100% of the event’s proceeds supports food pantries, shelters, senior programs, school breakfast, and more. Proceeds from this year’s event will be split 50/50 between City Harvest and The Sylvia Center. To date, Slice Out Hunger has raised nearly $250,000 to fund hunger relief efforts around the US since launching in 2009.
Admission is free; doors open at 6pm and the event ends when the pizza runs out. Guests purchase $1 tickets at the door, each ticket is good for a slice, drink, dessert, or raffle ticket. $100 VIPizza Passports are available in advance for those pizza lovers who wish to skip the lines. Note: This event is cash only.
