Queens Night Market Sneak Preview

The Queens Night Market will kick off its fifth season with two Sneak Previews of its upcoming season on April 20th and April 27th at the New York Hall of Science inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park. As always, there will be a diverse lineup of food vendors, art and merchandise offerings, beer & wine garden, live music and performances. There will also be games and activities for both kids and adults.
There will be a $5 cap on all food items sold, although a few vendors may be selling select items for $6. Returning offerings include Mauritian biryani, Trinidadian shark sandwiches, Chinese sugar painting, Burmese palatas, Indonesian kue pancong, Peruvian ceviche, Persian crispy rice, Malaysian “ramly” burgers, Portuguese pasteis de nata, Ukrainian borscht, Romanian-Hungarian chimney cakes, Puerto Rican jibaritos, Mexican al pastor tacos, Asian duck baos, Jamaican jerk chicken, Indian kachori and parantha, Filipino balut, diniguan, and lugaw, and southern fried chicken.
Newer food entries this year include: Bashkir Farm Cheese Donuts; Norwegian Fårikål and Fiskegrot; Egyptian Hawawshi; Singaporean Mee Pok and Chai Tow Kway; Ukrainian Blintzes; Indian Masala Noodles and Phulka; Mexican Huaraches; Brazilian Pão de Queijo and Brigadeiros; Austrian Paprikahendl; Puerto Rican Pastelles and Rellenos de Papa; South African Voetkoek, Bunny Chow & Kota; Haitian Diri ak Djon Djon and Pikliz; Vietnamese Hu Tieu and Bun Rieu; Indonesian Ote Ote; Czech Langosh; Matzo Brei and chopped liver; and much more.
Tickets to the Sneak Preview nights (5pm to midnight) can be purchased online for $5 per night and $8 at the door if any remain unsold; children under 12 are free. A portion of ticket proceeds benefits New York Immigration Coalition and City Harvest.
After the sneak preview events, the outdoor market will return for its fifth season every Saturday through the summer starting on May 4th through August 17th and from September 28th through October 26th and will be free to attend.
