New York African Restaurant Week
October 5 - November 21
New York African Restaurant Week will kick off its sixth celebration of African cuisine and culture on October 5th to October 22nd, 2018. During the week, dozens of restaurants in Manhattan and Brooklyn will be offering 3-course prix-fixe traditional African, Afro-fusion and African inspired menus.
Participating Manhattan restaurants include:
Accra African Restaurant, La Savane African Restaurant, Le Baobab Senegalese Restaurant, Lenox Saphire Senegalese-American Restaurant, Le Souk Moroccan Restaurant, Londel’s Cajun and Southern Restaurant, Meskerem Ethiopian Restaurant, Ponty Bistro French Senegalese Restaurant, Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant, Solomon and Kuff Caribbean Restaurant, Tagine Moroccan Restaurant, and Tsion Cafe [Ethiopian cuisine].
Participating Brooklyn restaurants include:
Amarachi Prime [Nigerian, Caribbean and American Fusion cuisine], Bati Ethiopian Restaurant, Buka Nigerian Restaurant, Cafe Rue Dix [French/Senegalese cuisine], Kombit Haitian Restaurant, Le Baobab Senegalese Restaurant, and Nzuri Lounge.
African Restaurant Week also features over 20 events including cooking classes, chef demonstrations, wine tasting, country-specific Taste of Africa events and a mega-food festival event on Saturday, October 13 at Mist Harlem.
