March 30 - March 31Free
During New York State Maple Weekend in the Hudson Valley, more than 180 maple producers across the state open their facilities to show guests how maple syrup and related maple products are made from the tree to their table. Organized by the New York State Maple Producers Association, the goal of the annual event is to educate the public about New York’s maple farming processes and traditions and to provide a chance to taste pure maple syrup in its many forms – right from the source.
Whether it’s one of the sugar house tours, horse and wagon rides into the woods, farm animal petting areas or pancake breakfasts, there’s lots of family-friendly activities during the Weekend. Tours and product samples are offered at most sites free of charge. On-site pancake breakfasts, where available, incur a per-plate cost and prices vary by location.
Maple Weekend happens over two consecutive weekends; March 23rd–24th and the 30th-31st. Hours: 10am to 4pm each day at most locations.
