9th Annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival
August 25 @ 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm$39
Head to Roy Wilkins Park to celebrate the cuisine, culture and heritage of Jamaica at the 9th Annual Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival, the largest celebration of Caribbean food in the city.
Centered around the world-famous Jamaican jerk cuisine, over 30 food vendors including home cooks and local restaurants, will be serving up a variety of jerk cuisine and Caribbean offerings. In-between snacking, head over to the Culinary Tent to watch the Celebrity Quick Fire Challenge, the Celebrity Chef Throw Down or one of the many cooking demonstrations.
Multiple stages serve up entertainment alongside the cuisine. International musicians play classic and modern music and performance artists keep the art of Jamaican storytelling alive. There’s also an arts and crafts village to browse and a Kidz Zone with lots of activity to keep the little ones busy for hours.
Advance tickets to the Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival are $39 when purchased online or at selected retail outlets in the tristate area and includes main and cultural stage entertainment along with cooking exhibitions and corporate giveaways. Tickets at the gate will be $49. Kids ages 10 and under are admitted for free. Food and beverages will be additional for purchase.
The Festival takes place at Roy Wilkins Park, Merrick Blvd and Baisley Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens, from noon to 8pm, rain or shine.
