Brooklyn Rum Festival at BKLYN Commons
August 5 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
I Rum The World is hosting the first ever Brooklyn Rum Festival on Sunday, August 5th in the 2 level event space of the BKLYN Commons in the Flatbush / Prospect Lefferts Gardens neighborhood, known for its rich Caribbean community.
In the Indoor Main Hall guests will get to meet the Brand ambassadors as you sample a variety of rums, learn about the different rum distilleries and the art of making rum, plus enjoy small plates of authentic Caribbean cuisine.
In the Rooftop Area you can relax and sip on a cocktail created while enjoying the view of Brooklyn or dance to the rhythmic sounds of Soca, Dancehall & Afrobeat played by an award winning DJ. There’s even a special Don Q rum infused ice cream to keep you cool.
Tickets are $45 and includes 5 mixed cocktails plus food and ice cream. A portion of the Brooklyn Rum Festival’s proceeds go the Dinner Table Doc, a 501(c) (3) New York City, nonprofit organization that hosts media literacy workshops and self esteem building events for young women of color.
