Bastille Day on 60th Street

For over twenty years, Bastille Day on 60th Street brings the best of France to New York at the French Institute Alliance Française’s annual street fair commemorating France’s Independence Day (July 14, 1789) and its historic friendship with the United States.
From noon to 5pm, browse the French-themed market booths lining 60th Street from Fifth to Lexington Avenues for the best of French food, wine, culture, and and entertainment. Enjoy sweet and savory crêpes, éclairs, macarons and so much more at over 60 vendors.
Along with the delicious treats and tastings, there will be a special screening of C’est la vie!, a kid’s corner, live music & performances, and returning for its second year, Village The French Garden – a premium shopping area between Fifth & Madison Avenues.
Rounding out the day are two ticketed tastings:
• Champagne, Cocktail, and Jazz Party / 1:30pm – 3pm or 3:30pm – 5pm / $65-$75
Champagnes from Besserat de Bellefon, Delamotte, Laurent-Perrier, Michel Gonet, and Pol Roger and cocktails from Giffard will be served along with treats from Jacques Torres Chocolate, Ladurée, and Maman Bakery. The Avalon Jazz Band will perform live music.
• Summer in Provence Tasting / 12pm – 4:30pm / $30
Discover the flavors of Provence at a fun and festive tasting from Château d’Esclans, Château de la Clapière, and Miraval, cocktails from Ricard, beers from Kronenbourg, cheese from Président, and charcuterie from Trois Petits Cochons.
