Japan Society’s 21st Annual Sake Lecture & Tasting

June 11 @ 6:30 pm

It’s time for Japan Society’s 21st Annual Sake Lecture & Tasting event! This year, sake expert John Gauntner explores new, rare, and unorthodox variations in the world of sake.

What are the merits of sparkling sake? How does red sake get its color? What, exactly, is nigori? Gauntner delves into the pros and cons of these sake anomalies, and examines how they stack up against the tried-and-true standards. The lecture will be followed by a tasting reception with more than 30 kinds of premium sake.

Tickets are $45 per person or $40 for Japan Society members.
