34th Annual GrowTogether Conference

Come celebrate the official kick-off of the community gardening season in New York City at the 34th Annual GrowTogether Conference: Honoring Our Roots. Hosted by GreenThumb NYC, the day will be packed with more than 50 workshops, panel discussions and kids’ activities.

Special Keynote Speaker:
• Karen Washington – an advocate for community gardens and food justice, a member of La Familia Verde Community Garden Coalition, a farmer at Rise and Root Farm, and the co-founder of the Black Urban Growers (BUGS).

Featured Panels:
• Floods, Bugs, and Dog Days: Gardening in the Age of Climate Change
• Growing Healing Spaces in Community Gardens with Medicinal Plants
• Garden Legends: Get into the Weeds with the Community Gardeners who helped Shape the Movement
• Seed Keeping: Storytelling and the Importance of Saving Seeds

More than 50 Workshops on:

• Financial and Political Support
• Food Justice

• Health and Well-Being
• Making Things with Plants and Herbs
• Specialized Workshops for Teachers and Garden Educators

Pre-registration admission is $5 per person, free for kids 12 years old and younger. Admission is $10 at the door.
