2018 MOFAD Spring Gala
May 17 @ 7:30 pm
Join the the Museum of Food and Drink for this great cause and great celebration of food education: this year’s Spring Gala on Thursday, May 17th. This year’s theme—Tasting Biodiversity—will celebrate the importance of biodiversity to the health of the planet and the future of the food system.
The evening will begin with a Biodiversity Reception at 6:30pm with tasting tables by the chefs of Bar Sardine, Fairfax, Fedora, Jeffrey’s Grocery, and Joseph Leonard. MOFAD Founder Dave Arnold will mix specialty cocktails and Garrett Oliver of Brooklyn Brewery will offer beer pairings.
Then, at 8pm, guests will sit down to a biodiversity-themed tasting menu specially prepared by some of the city’s finest chefs including Suzanne Cupps of Untitled, Erik Ramirez of Llama Inn, Alex Stupak of Empellón, and Ghaya Oliveira of Daniel. The benefit dinner also includes wine selections by Jeffrey Porter of Del Posto and a live auction.
Hosted by Anne Burrell and chaired by Alex Guarnaschelli, this year’s Spring Gala will be honoring Adam Eskin for his commitment to sustainable sourcing as the Founder and CEO of Dig Inn and David Chang for advancing national dialogue about the intersection of food, ingredients, and cultural identity as the Chef and Founder of Momofuku.
Ticket start at $750. Funds raised will benefit the museum’s future exhibitions and programs.
