13th Annual Joy of Sake

The Joy of Sake, the largest sake tasting event outside Japan, returns to New York City for its 13th annual celebration on Friday, June 15th from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at the Metropolitan Pavilion. This year’s event will be the biggest sake celebration in the city’s history, featuring a record 478 competition-level sakes, a record 19 top restaurants serving sake-inspired appetizers, and a doubling of space to accommodate an expected sellout crowd at the venue.
The restaurant lineup this year includes: 15 East, Bessou, BondST, Bozu, Gaijin, Hibino, Insa, Ivan Ramen, Karasu, Little Tong Noodle Shop, Momofuku, Morimoto NY, Naoki, Sakagura, SakaMai, Sen Sakana, Sushi Nakazawa, Sushi Seki Times Square, and Yopparai.
New this year is the U.S. Sake Section where brewers from Brooklyn Kura, Boston’s Dovetail Sake and Moto-I from Minneapolis will pour their chilled nama or unpasteurized sake.
Tickets are $110 per person and includes unlimited samplings of sake and a dish from every restaurant.
