This week wasn’t very busy, but there were still some good things that happened.

I went to see Chef Jean-Louis Dumonet, President of Maîtres Cuisiniers de France USA/Canada, to show him the press sheets for the new Master Chefs of France cookbook.  The printing was terrific, and everything was in the right place! The books will be ready next week.

Next I paid a visit to Contra, a restaurant on the Lower East Side with rave reviews and stars.  Chef/Partners Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske cooked up a beautiful dessert for my Crossing Borders charity book.  Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of the dish, and they are out of the country right now.  But it will be in the book!

Lastly, I paid a visit to Thai Market and talked with owner Danny. I did my very first photo shoot with him about 30 years ago. Thailand is my favorite place, and the food here is as authentic as it gets.
